Two Individuals Accused In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Formal charges have been brought against two men following a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of administering a noxious substance, according to official statements.
This legal action stems from an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a car park lift, authorities reported.
A young child was caught up in the incident in the event. Several persons were taken to a medical facility and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
